Olean Huskies Youth Football & Cheer offers opportunities for young athletes to comprehend and execute all aspects of football and cheer in ways that are appropriate for their age level. We are also responsible for teaching sportsmanship and teamwork to our kids as they work together to reach their goals. As an organization, we endeavor to help set up our youth for success, not only in sports, but throughout their lives. We accomplish this by offering the training and tools they need to safely participate and excel as athletes. Our football & cheerleading programs offer opportunities in three age groups:
- Flag (Ages 6 – 7)*
- Pee Wee (Ages 8 – 9)
- Midget (Ages 10 – 11)
*Age as of December 1st of the current year.
For football we do not typically allow players younger than 6 to participate because we feel it may be a safety risk.
For cheerleading we will take children aged 4-5 as mascots (mascots do not do any lifts or flips).
The season typically runs from the last week of July to October (Playoffs / Competition typically is in the middle to the end of October)
